Who is Jackrabbit?

Jackrabbit has been designing and developing for the web for over twenty years. He puts his clients first every opportunity he gets.

I taught myself how to code around 2k after thinking that I was more of a designer than a developer. Since then I've learned that those kinds of distinctions don't count for much.

My range of skills provides me with a unique ablity to see a project through from start to finish. From the initial UX to the final phases of testing against different browsers and implementation.

Possibly even more important than my skill, creativity and experience is my ablity to speak in simple clear language about complex issues. This allows me to translate concepts that might otherwise be obscure to those who aren't tech savvy, but need to work in development.

Responsibilities:
Design of print collateral, merchandise, and websites for national campaign, development of new brand and website, event planning and volunteer management.

2015 - 2016

User Experience Designer - Hospitals & Health Networks

Responsibilities:
Increase user engagement through design updates and improved usablity. Consult on digital marketing campaigns, including troubleshooting email templates.

2013 - 2014

Senior Front End Developer - Hearst Corporation

Responsibilities:
Member of an international team of developers at historical NY publishing company. Part of the digital production team charged with migrating the 40+ online properties being served to millions of users from a legacy CMS to a new custom built CMS

2010 - 2013

Front End Developer - The Cement Bloc

Responsibilities:
Lead Developer at major NY healthcare agency. Key member of their digital production team with responsibility to:

  • Design, build, and maintain thebloc.com mobile site and the Convergenttimes.com WordPress site
  • Provide innovative technology solutions to build engaging client experiences and ensure best use of technology and existing client platforms
  • Provide direction to creative department on best practices in building digital projects. Manage external development teams for execution of work
  • Deliver iPad-based selling solutions for pharma field reps through CLM platforms: Veeva, Exploria, etc.
  • Serve as key digital technologist for several client brands including Celgene Abraxane, Pfizer/BMS Eliquis, BMS/AZ Onglyza, UCB Cimzia, Kadmon Ribapak and Zoetis
